Our HIStory
yd. is a menswear brand built for the style-conscious guy. Sharp enough for the workday, bold enough for the weekend, and designed to stand out. From casual essentials to tailored suits, it is a one-stop shop for affordable fashion full of personality.
We launched in 1996 in Sydney as a clubwear line named Young Disciples. After incorporating as yd. in 2001, the brand quickly expanded, offering charismatic, on-trend menswear for the modern guy.
Confidence is our brand's game, with a wide range of formal, smart and casual styles available every season. Inspired by global trends, our collections are styled to work together perfectly. We give our customers the confidence to go from desk to dancefloor, believing every night should end with a good story.
Our STORES
Today, our retail footprint spans over 100 standalone yd. stores across Australia and New Zealand. Located prominently within key shopping centres and malls, these spaces bring the brand's signature energy to life. The identity of yd. remains bold and charismatic, serving as the ultimate destination for everything from casual weekend essentials to sharp event tailoring, giving our customers the confidence to stand out.
To ensure these trend-driven collections are accessible everywhere, the brand's presence extends beyond our own storefronts. yd. is also available in Myer department stores, as well as through the online fashion marketplace The Iconic.
Our PARTNERS
yd. maintains a proud, ongoing charity partnership with headspace, Australia's National Youth Mental Health Foundation. The organisation provides free early intervention mental health services to young people aged 12 to 25, offering vital support for their mental and physical wellbeing, work and study, and addiction services.
The brand actively drives fundraising across its retail network and online store. Customers can contribute directly at the point of purchase or by buying exclusive headspace-branded socks, with 100 percent of the proceeds donated to the foundation.
In 2025, yd. extended this commitment by participating in The Push-Up Challenge, rallying together for a national fundraising event in aid of youth mental health.
